Hi everyone! I'm Lorraine from Cookin' For the Seven Dwarfs! I'm so excited to be here today guest posting on Mommy's Sweet Confessions! Before I get to the recipe, I'll tell you a little about me! I'm new to the blogging world, and LOVE it! My blog is all about cooking (if you didn't guess from the name of my blog :) )! I have 6 brothers, 5 sisters-in-law, 5 nephews, and 2 nieces. I started this blog as a way for me to keep track of recipes that the 7 Dwarfs (AKA: my 6 brothers and my dad) have taste tested and approved. They love food, and I love cooking for them! The recipe I'm sharing is a Cheese Soup! It's one of my family's all time favorite soups! Cheese Soup 3 Tbls. butter 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 1/4 finely chopped carrots 1 cup shredded cabbage (optional) 1 garlic clove, minced 3 Tbls. flour 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 3 chicken bouillon cubes 2 cups milk 2 cups water 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Melt butter in a sauce pan. Saute onion, carrots, garlic and cabbage until tender. Blend in flour, paprika mustard, and bouillon. Gradually stir in milk and water. Cook over medium heat until mixture is smoothly thickened and boiling. Remove from heat. Add cheese. Stir until melted. Serve immediately. Tip: When you remove the soup from the heat, before you add your cheese you'll want to make sure the soup isn't too hot or the cheese will curdle. If it curdles it's not a big deal, it still taste just as good! I hope you enjoy! Thank you so much Mommy's Sweet Confessions for letting me guest post! You can find me on Pinterest or on Facebook!
