My Fairy Godmother and I make this fudge almost every year for Christmas Eve dessert. It's the dwarfs favorite and it's oh-so-rich and delicious! This recipe was from a cook book my Fairy Godmother had when she was in high school, in a home economics class. It calls for "1 large jar of marshmallow creme" and "1 large can evaporated milk", it doesn't give ounces to either, so I have to go by my Fairy Godmother's memory on what the ounces should be for this recipe. She's awesome. Here's the recipe:
Creamy Marshmallow Fudge
1 lrg jar marshmallow creme (2-7oz jars of marshmallow fluff)
1 8-oz. Hershey bar, broken into pieces
1 12-oz package chocolate chips
1 large can evaporated milk (1-12oz can evaporated milk)
1 cup butter
4 1/2 cup sugar
chopped pecans to taste (optional)
Mix marshmallow creme, Hershey bar and chocolate chips in a large bowl; set aside.
Mix milk, butter, and sugar in sauce pan; place over medium heat.
Bring to boil, then boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour over ingredients in bowl; beat until chocolate is dissolved.
Add pecans; mix well. Pour into well-greased 9 x 13 pan; place in refrigerator overnight before cutting.
